Ejayne's Planning Bio

We're getting married October 23, 2009!

Meet Liz and David

We met back in the summer of 2005 when David came to help with Vacation Bible School at my church in south Austin. I had a crush on him almost immediately, but soon after I found out he had a girlfriend. The pastor was so impressed with him, he asked David to be the youth pastor! David accepted, and so I saw him every Sunday. We weren't real good friends, just acquaintances really... I would say hello to him at church and that was about it. Fast forward to October 2006... we were both invited to our friend Angie's birthday party, and we really hit it off (he was single again). A few weeks later it's Halloween night and I get a text message inviting me to hang out with him at Dave and Buster's. It was obviously a message addressed to many people, but I was the only one to show up. We started hanging out a lot, and became good friends. Then in December, barely a week after my 21st birthday, after going to a party we had our first kiss. Just a couple months after that, we were officially a couple. :) And the rest, they say, is history!

The Big Idea...

Originally the color palate for the wedding was cobalt blue, orange, and a bit of green– using the peacock as a jumping off point for colors. However, over the past 6 months it has morphed more into something like this. There is still going to be lots of cobalt blue (it's everywhere at San Michele), but I'm liking this softer palate of blues, oranges, pinks and greens. I think if I had to give it a title it would be "Vintage French Garden Romance". I just hope I can pull it off!

More Inspiration Boards

These are some of my favorite inspiration boards on the Snippet & Ink blog. They give a general idea of the "feel" I'm going for, though not necessarily the right colors.
